2010 NFL Preseason Underway!!

The NFL 2010 Season is underway!!!  Yesterday, some great players were inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame including the leading rusher of all time Emmit Smith and the leading receiver of all time, Jerry Rice.  They were great NFL players and probably helped many Fantasy Owners win championships back in the day.  However, I wonder how many downs either played in preseason?

NFL Combine overrated for Fantasy Owners

NFL Scouts may get great information from the NFL Combine that can influence when and where last year’s collegiate stars land in April.  The 40 times are probably the most followed drill that can help players rise and fall in the draft, but should not excite Fantasy Owners.  There are a few simple rules regarding the draft:

It is still early for the schedules to be set, but the nfl home and away teams have been selected. You can begin looking at your roster vs. what teams your fantasy players will be up against next year.

Pro Bowl – The Ultimate Fantasy

Why is this game played?  Maybe the NFL could learn something from other leagues and start a skills competition.  The NBA has the 3 point contest that certainly highlights the best shooters.  The NHL has the fastest skater and hardest slapshot competition.  MLB has the homerun contest.  Why couldn’t the NFL adapt this strategy and have a skills competition?  Most accurate passer, fastest offensive running back or even most accurate or longest field goal kicker?  Get rid of the game [...]
